Based on the success recorded by the University Campus radio-Search FM 92.3, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Musbau Adewumi Akanji, FNSBMB, said the University is looking at the possibility of establishing a television station soon. The VC stated this during the unveiling ceremony of Search FM

Prof. Akanji said he has directed the Chairman of Campus Radio Board to submit proposal on the modalities for the establishment of a television station, noting that when submitted, the University Management would expedite action on it towards ensuring that the station commence broadcasting within the shortest possible time.
The VC commended Search FM for keying into his administration policy of thrusting the University into international recognition through its recently launched platforms on social media that enable people to connect and stream programmes live from anywhere in the world, this he stated would help in boosting the institution’s webo-metric rankings. “We are very much impressed with the radio station”, the VC opined.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman, Campus Radio Board, Dr. Olusegun Oyero said the station has taken deliberate and conscious efforts in branding the University through Search FM by telling the world what the institution is doing.
Dr. Oyero disclosed that the station is well known across the globe based on its various social media platforms and the recently launched Search FM applications that are available for Android and Blackberry phone ushers.
The Chairman applauded the University Management for their constant support to the radio station.
